Gum Disease

Gum disease is a very common condition and affects most adults in some form throughout life.

In it its earliest form, gum disease can manifest as bleeding gums, which is commonly termed GINGIVITIS.

If it is left untreated it can then affect the supporting structures of the teeth, which is termed PERIODONTITIS.

If this is not treated, then it can lead to progressive bone loss and eventual tooth loss.

Common symptoms include
  • Bleeding gums
  • Swollen gums
  • Bad breath
  • Baste taste
  • Loose teeth
  • Gum abscesses

Advanced gum disease can lead to systemic symptoms including fever.
